आवत गारी एक है , उलटत होइ अनेक। कह कबीर नहिं उलटिए, वही एक की एक। हिंदी व्याख्या - कबीरदास जी कहते हैं कि जब किसी के द्वारा दी गई कोई गाली आती है तो वह अपने आप में एक होती है। लेकिन जब इसी गाली को प्रतिक्रिया स्वरुप लौटाया जाता है तो यह अनेक गालियों का रूप ले लेती है। इसलिए हमें किसी के अभद्र वचनों पर भी बुरी प्रतिक्रिया नहीं देनी चाहिए। कहने का भाव है कि प्रतिक्रिया में एक गाली भी नहीं देनी चाहिए। अथार्थ बुराई को बुराई से नष्ट नहीं करना चाहिए। English Explanation - Kabir ji says when somebody abuses others, he receives in myriad. So we should try to keep away from using a abusing language to anybody. Even we must not reciprocate a single abuse. The poet means to say that evil can't kill evil.

जाति न पूछो साध की , पूछ लीजिये ग्यान। मोल करो तरवार का , पड़ा रहन दो म्यान। हिंदी व्याख्या - यहाँ कबीर जी कहते हैं कि हमें साधु की जाति नहीं पूछनी चाहिए। अगर पूछना ही है तो उसका ज्ञान पूछना चाहिए। उसी प्रकार हमें तलवार का ही मोल-भाव करना चाहिए अथार्थ हमें तलवार को ही मुख्य मानना चाहिए न कि म्यान को। कहने का भाव है व्यक्ति के असली गुण को ही पूछना चाहिए। English Explanation   - Kabir says that we should not ask a saint about his caste. If we want to know anything about him that must be his knowledge. In the same way, we must bargain for the sword without giving importance to sheath. In other words, we must give importance to internal quality.
